Texas: Pressure high at DeWitt Eagle Ford well

Blue Eagle Energy LLC has completed an Eagle Ford horizontal well in DeWitt County, Tex., at a 19-day average of 5.8 MMcfd of wet gas and 342 b/d of condensate with 8,500 psi flowing pressure on a 12/64-in. choke.

HOUSTON, Feb. 23
– Blue Eagle Energy LLC has completed an Eagle Ford horizontal well in DeWitt County, Tex., at a 19-day average of 5.8 MMcfd of wet gas and 342 b/d of condensate with 8,500 psi flowing pressure on a 12/64-in. choke.

The T Bird 1H well, first in a joint venture between Abraxas Petroleum Corp., San Antonio, and Rock Oil Co. LLC, went to a TD of 19,450 ft measured depth and underwent a 15-stage frac in a 5,700-ft lateral. It was drilled, completed, and placed on line in 75 days. The well went on line in January at the restricted rate.
