– Antrim Energy Inc., Calgary, signed a letter of award with AGR Peak Well Management Ltd. for project management and to provide the WilPhoenix semisubmersible to drill two wells in the Greater Fyne area of the UK Central North Sea in mid-2011.

One well will target the Jurassic Fulmar formation at 10,400 ft true vertical depth at the West Teal prospect in Block 21/24b. The target is 37° gravity oil. The company has 3D seismic around a 1991 discovery well 4 miles west of Teal field that cut a 140-ft gross oil column in Fulmar and had mechanical problems.

The other well is expected to target the Eocene Tay formation at 6,000 ft on the Carra prospect in Block 21/28b. The target is 25° gravity oil. Antrim has 3D seismic over Carra, 4 km from and on trend with West Guillemot field.

Antrim has 100% interest in both blocks. A discovery at either prospect could add resources to the scheduled development of Fyne field 3 km northwest of Carra.
