Expro, Transcontrol extend Brazilian partnership deal
LONDONExpro International Group PLC said Wednesday it had extended a partnership agreement between subsidiary Tronic Ltd., and Brazilian monitoring and control systems manufacturer Transcontrol Ltda. to "market and promote" both companies' products in Brazil.
The UK oilfield services company said it hoped the 5-year deal would enable Tronic to maintain its 95% slice of Brazil's subsea connector market, while promoting Transcontrol's subsea monitoring and control systems and range of hydraulic control panels and process control instrumentation.
Under the cooperation deal, Transcontrol personnel will be trained at Tronic's headquarters in Ulverston, UK, and Transcontrol's training facilities in Rio de Janeiro will be fitted out with Tronic equipment to help with "familiarization training."
