MMS sets meeting on gas RIK sales

The US Minerals Management Service Thursday said it would brief small natural gas businesses on opportunities to buy federal royalty in-kind production at a July 13 workshop.

MMS said businesses with expertise in gas purchasing, supply, transportation, and marketing may be interested in its pilot programs to take RIK gas and sell it in the market.

The workshop will discuss RIK pilots and operational programs in the Gulf of Mexico and processes and criteria that companies must meet to prequalify to bid on monthly natural gas RIK sales. It will include an overview of MMS�s planned RIK activities this fall.

The workshop will be held at MMS's office at 4141 North Sam Houston Parkway East in Houston.
