SALE 75

Alaska's Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (DOG) is seeking socioeconomic and environmental information and comments for Sale 75, currently scheduled for September 1992 in Anchorage.

Deadline for comments is Sept. 30, 1991.

The proposed sale will offer about 110,000 acres of land previously leased in Sales 13, 48, and 54, plus acreage relinquished from the Kuparuk River Unit and other relinquished acreage that will become available before the sale.

The proposed sale may also include land in and near the Colville River Delta that is the subject of litigation between the state and the native Arctic Slope Regional Corp.

SALE 79

DOG is seeking general information on proposed Cape Yakataga Sale 79, currently scheduled for May 1994.

Deadline for comments is Jan. 1, 1992. A request for socioeconomic and environmental comments will follow in January 1992.

The proposed sale will offer about 350,000 acres of onshore and offshore land between Katalla and Icy Cape.

It was added to the sale schedule in 1990.

A preliminary finding of the sale is tentatively scheduled to be complete in November 1993.
