GREEK-SOVIET LINE APPROVED
Greece's government has approved a contract between its state gas corporation and the U.S.S.R.'s Association Machinoimport for construction of a $1.3 billion, 510 km gas pipeline to supply Soviet natural gas to Greece.
Initial supply is to be 35.31 bcf/year, eventually increasing to 84.7 bcf/year.
Construction of the line, which will originate at the Bulgarian border, is to begin this year. The project is to be complete in 1993.
