Indonesia's state owned Pertamina has sold an additional 69 cargoes of liquefied natural gas to its customers in the Far East.

Ultramar plc, London, joint operator for the Sanga Sanga onshore producing area in Kalimantan, which supplies gas to the Bontang LNG plant, said 34 cargoes will be delivered in 1992 and 35 and 1993.

Of those, 21 are to be shipped from the Bontang plant in 1992 and 29 in 1993. The remainder will come from the Arun LNG operation.

Ultramar said the added sales, along with contracts under negotiation, should enable Bontang to sell its total capacity of LNG during the next 2 years.

Ultramar, which is fighting a takeover bid from Lasmo plc, also of London, wants to sell one third of its 37.8% interest in Sanga Sanga to reduce debt.
