Aberdeen, has appointed Iain Anderson as operations manager for BJ Com pletion Assembly Services. His responsibilities include managing the division's facilities in Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth, as well as driving expansion efforts throughout the UK and mainland Europe.

Anderson joined BJ Completion Assembly Services in 1993, and has worked for the company in Aberdeen and Qatar.

BJ Completion Assembly Services provides tubular completion assemblies and testing, onshore makeup, breakout, and pressure testing of downhole tubular components, and rental, refurbishment of flow iron equipment for the offshore oil and gas industry.

BJ Services Co. is a leading provider of pressure pumping and related oil field services.

Burgmann Dichtungswerke GmbH & Co.

Wolfratshausen, Germany, has established a subsidiary, Burgmann Pars Sealing Co., in Iran. Focal activities of Burgmann Iran cover the marketing, sale, manufacture, servicing, and repair of mechanical seals, packings, and expansion joints for applications in oil and gas production, transport, refineries, power generation, food production, and general industry. Burgmann holds a 65% interest in the joint venture, with 35% held by partner company, Petroleum Equipment Industries Co.

The company's main facility is located south of Teheran, with a sales office in Teheran and service centers opening in Esfahan, Shiraz, and the Persian Gulf in the south, and in Tabriz in the north.

Burgmann, a leading global seal manufacturer, now has over 50 subsidiaries and joint ventures throughout the world.

US Inspection Services

Dayton, Ohio, has appointed Greg Judy as general manager of its Twinsburg Lab. Judy studied materials science technology at Penn State University, and has 23 years of experience in inspection, metallurgy, and destructive and non-destructive testing. He was previously with Titanium Metals Corp.

US Inspection Services operates a national network of full-service testing facilities that provide non-destructive testing, mechanical testing, metallurgical and chemical analysis, and laboratory management services.

Victaulic

Easton, Pa., has appointed Jim Renner as director of marketing. Renner holds a BA degree in English from Gettysburg College, and previously served with Domus Advertising, TK Enterprises, and Lutron Electronics.

RBI-Gearhart

Fort Worth, Tex., has acquired a US matrix polycrystalline diamond compact drill bit manufacturer, and thus formed PDC-Gearhart International Inc. PDC-Gearhart offers matrix PDC bits from 31/2" to 121/4", with blade designs for specific formation requirements.

Gearhart Industries, a wireline and testing company that pioneered many of the well logging techniques still used today, was founded by Marvin Gearhart. Gearhart serves as chief executive officer of both RBI-Gearhart and PDC-Gearhart.

United Energy Corp.

Secaucus, NJ, has announced the appointment of Rodney I. Woods as president, Sanford M. Kimmel as chief financial officer, and Andrew Lundquist as president of its Energy Division.

Woods joined the company following a 16-year career at Merrill Lynch. He most recently served as chairman and CEO of McCormack Advisors International, a joint venture between Merrill Lynch and IMG sports/celebrity management agency.

Kimmel is a certified public accountant. His previous experience includes serving as chief financial officer of CTB Consulting Inc., a privately held technology consulting firm.

Lundquist was a principal in the Washington, DC, consulting firm that bears his name. He previously led the cabinet-level task force on energy policy for Vice President Richard Cheney.

United Energy Corp. develops and distributes a diverse group of environmentally friendly specialty chemical products, including its KH-30 paraffin and asphaltene dispersant for the oil industry, and underwater protective coatings for use in marine applications.

Cooper Cameron Corp.

Houston, has named Jack B. Moore as president, and Gary Halverson as vice-president and general manager-Western Hemisphere, of its Cameron division.

Moore joined Cameron in 1999, after 23 years with Baker Hughes Inc. He holds a BBA degree in finance and marketing from the University of Houston.

Halverson has been with Cameron since 1978, and most recently served as general manager for Latin America.
