TransCanada PipeLines Ltd., Calgary, plans a change in its 1994-95 facilities construction program.

It was scheduled late last week to file an amended application with Canada's National Energy Board for the $403 million (Canadian) program.

Included are 164.4 km of pipeline and seven compressor units that will add 129,000 kw of compression to the gas pipeline system. The plan is to allow TransCanada to provide Canadian and export services totaling 71.8 MMcfd in long haul deliveries from western Canada and 211.4 MMcfd in short haul deliveries in Ontario.

NEB set June 21 as the date for a public hearing in Toronto.

TransCanada said the change results from a recent decision by Ontario Hydro to downsize and/or delay all nonutility power generation projects yet to be executed or approved.

The original application was filed with NEB last Dec. 18.

There is no change in the 1993 construction program.
