Trunkline Gas Co. has restored 115 MMcfd of 500 MMcfd gas throughput on its Terrebonne Offshore Pipeline System (TOPS) in the Gulf of Mexico.
Shipments were interrupted Nov. 4 after one of two parallel 30 in. lines ruptured on Ship Shoal Block 90.
Before the incident, Trunkline had received nominations to begin moving about 200 MMcfd of gas through TOPS lines across the T-21 platform on South Timbalier Block 72. But the rupture between the T-21 and T-25 valving platforms and the point south of Houma, La., where TOPS reaches shore delayed those plans.
Trunkline had repaired TOPS damage at the T-21 platform caused in late August by Hurricane Andrew, eliminating the last major gulf gas transportation bottleneck caused by the storm (OGJ, Oct. 12, p. 38).
