U.S. Industry Scordboard 10/30 (71409 bytes) U.S. integrated petroleum firms are faring best in a soft energy market. A sampling of earnings for the first 9 months of 1995 shows most majors posting income gains from a year ago ranging from modest to impressive. While upstream earnings suffered because of lagging oil and gas prices in the period, notably in the third quarter, downstream profits rose.
