With the addition of a new impeller, the self-aspirating Hurricane aerator now provides 22% more oxygenation than previously. Available in sizes up to 100 hp (75 kw), the impeller is machined from a single piece of 17-4 stainless steel and hardened to Rockwell 45C.

Capable of radial aeration in a full 360

These submersible aerators feature motors that include high reliability moisture detectors and thermal protection. They are explosionproof and feature commercially available bearings and seals for reduced downtime for maintenance.

It is available in sizes of 2-100 hp with submersible electric motors directly coupled to the impeller and connected to a stationary stainless steel draft tube complete with an air inlet filter.

Ultralight cement system enhanced

Enhancements to LiteCRETE technology enable delivery of cement slurries with densities lower than that of water. This new ultralight cement system for low-fracture-gradient oil and gas wells is designed for applications in formations incapable of supporting standard cement densities. The company says its new system delivers mechanical properties and provides an alternative to foamed cement without special equipment or complex processes.

LiteCRETE field tests were conducted in the United Arab Emirates using slurry at 8.2 lb/gal for zonal isolation in a well with 95/8-in. casing. Cement reached the surface without any losses, and the annulus remained full with no fallback. Jobs have also been completed successfully in Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Venezuela, France, Colombia, and the US, the firm notes.

Pressure measurement catalog

A new 32-page catalog describes a full range of pressure measurement products.

The catalog includes a transmitter and transducer selection guide as well as a data sheet detailing product specifications and features for each product line. Dimension drawings and ordering information also are provided.

Transducers and transmitters are available in pressure ranges of 1-6,000 psi with gauge, vacuum compound, absolute, or sealed reference. All are temperature and pressure compensated. They are available in low-cost, fixed-range as well as full-feature, field-adjustable models with 5:1 span turndown.

Units are suited for any application that requires the measurement of a gas, liquid, slurry, or viscous fluid. Process or flush mount connections and GSA, FM, and CENELEC approvals are available.

Fluid-handling web site upgraded

An upgraded web site offers seals and composite plastics designed for refinery, pipeline, and chemical processing and transportation operations.

The new site from this firm's fluid-handling group features a new pull-down menu that takes the user directly to market segments, product areas, services, and worldwide contacts.

There is a link to Flexware, an interactive software that utilizes flow rates and efficiencies gained through the use of the firm's thermoplastic labyrinth seal design.

Also, free fluid flowmeter and labyrinth seal software is available to download.

Click the fluid handling icon at the top of the Greene, Tweed & Co. web site at to learn more about this group.

Model series 1000 process analyzers are designed to provide continuous, real-time measurement of H2S concentrations in natural gas pipelines, tail gas lines, and SRU overhead gas lines.

Available ranges are 0-20 ppm up to 0-10,000 ppm (1%). The system can be provided with manual calibration or with microprocessor-controlled automatic calibration. Both designs employ a proprietary solid state MOS sensor element with a 10-year conditional warranty. The analyzer features a microprocessor-based signal-conditioning transmitter with local digital display, fault supervision, calibration mode indicator, alarm relays, and an RS-485 serial port. The instrument package is rated for use in electrically classified areas: Class I; Division 1; Groups B, C, and D. Line power, battery, and solar powered models are available.
