New water remediation technology

Latitude Solutions Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., has entered into an exclusive agreement wherein manufacturing services provider Jabil Circuits Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla., will manufacture LSI's proprietary Electro Precipitation, Integrated Water System technology.

These technologies provide solutions for contaminated water, particularly in oil and gas operations.

In LSI's process, as waste water passes through the chambers of the Electro Precipitation system, electrical current is used to force charged contaminant particles together. Once bound together, these large particles can no longer remain suspended in the water and they rapidly form a precipitate via the flocking process. This precipitate can be separated from the treated water and is nonhazardous. The treated water is then available for reuse or discharge. In addition, the molecules in the effluent water that flows out of the technology remain charged for a period of time and can act as a catalyst for the further flocking of contaminated water.

Gas detector docking station

Here's the plug-and-play docking station iNet InSite, a product designed for this firm's portable gas detectors.

The company says its iNet InSite station broadens the availability of iNet. This new solution is designed for end users who own their gas detectors and have the means of servicing and maintaining them but are challenged with gaining the necessary visibility into their overall gas detection program.

Subscribers of iNet InSite receive unlimited user access to iNet Control—a web-based application accessible from any PC web browser—along with iNet DS docking stations provided at no additional charge. The docking station requires no local software or server installation and is designed to work within corporate IT network security policies.

With iNet control software, users can log in, manage, and view the performance of their entire gas detector fleet. The application provides practical insight for gas detection programs using trends, metrics, alerts, and custom reports.
