Singh named chairman of IOC

Sanjiv Singh has been named chairman of Indian Oil Corp. Ltd., succeeding B. Ashok.

Singh joined IOC in 1981 and had been director of refineries for almost 3 years (OGJ Online, July 7, 2014). IOC owns 11 of India’s 23 refineries.

Singh will also be chairman of Chennai Petroleum Corp. Ltd. and a joint venture company designed to revive fertilizer plants at Gorakhpur, Sindri, and Barauni.
