England to lead Deloitte’s US energy, resources practice

John England has been selected to lead professional services firm Deloitte LLP’s energy and resources (E&R) industry practice in the US.

England succeeds John McCue, principal of Deloitte Consulting LLP. McCue continues to serve as lead client service partner and advisory partner to a number of Deloitte’s largest E&R clients.

In his new role, England will lead the overall strategic direction and market eminence of the E&R practice, including alignment of resources with clients, team leadership development and succession, and go-to-market strategies for Deloitte’s key businesses such as audit, consulting, tax, and advisory services.

Among Deloitte’s E&R clients are companies across all segments of the oil and gas, power and utilities, alternative energy, and mining sectors.

Most recently, England has served as vice-chairman of Deloitte, and US and Americas oil and gas sector leader, a role he will maintain. Based in Houston, He has more than 27 years of experience in similar roles.

England serves on the National Petroleum Council.
