Abshire retiring as EVP, CFO of Adams Resources & Energy

Richard B. Abshire, executive vice-president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of Adams Resources & Energy Inc., Houston, is retiring effective Aug. 31.

A 31-year veteran of Adams Resources, he’ll continue to advise the company as a consultant over the next few months to ensure an orderly transition of his responsibilities.

Sharon C. Davis, currently executive vice-president, chief operating officer, and chief accounting officer, will assume the duties of chief financial officer and treasurer on an interim basis.
