bp has named Kate Thomson as interim chief financial officer.
Thomson is currently bp’s senior vice-president, finance for production and operations. She has been with bp for 19 years, previously holding senior financial roles, including group treasurer and head of group tax.
The news comes following the appointment of Murray Auchincloss as bp’s interim chief executive officer last week following the resignation of Bernard Looney (OGJ Online, Sept. 12, 2023).
