Chevron Phillips Chemical realigns certain executive management

Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC will realign certain executive leadership responsibilities following the retirement of Scott Sharp, executive vice-president, projects and environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S).

Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. LLC will realign certain executive leadership responsibilities following the retirement of Scott Sharp, executive vice-president, projects and environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S). Sharp spent 42 years with Chevron Phillips Chemical and Chevron Corp. During his tenure with Chevron Phillips Chemical, Sharp oversaw operations at the company’s joint ventures in Qatar and led the completion of its US Gulf Coast expansion projects in Baytown and Old Ocean, Tex. Most recently, he helped develop and advance potential growth projects in the US and Qatar.

Effective Nov 1, Elliott Johnson, currently vice-president, EHS&S, will join the company’s executive leadership team as senior vice-president, EHS&S. Johnson has 23 years of experience with the company in operations and technical positions across multiple domestic manufacturing facilities, including as plant manager at the company’s facility in Orange, Tex., and operations manager at the Cedar Bayou facility.

Steve Prusak, senior vice-president, corporate planning and technology, will assume additional responsibility for the company’s projects organization, which includes overseeing the development of expansion projects in the US and Qatar. Prusak has 31 years of industry experience and has held commercial, project, and strategy roles during his tenure with Chevron Phillips Chemical. He served as a project director for the company’s US Gulf Coast expansion project completed in 2018.
