Parex names Mohsen to succeed Taylor as president, CEO

Parex Resources Inc., Calgary, has appointed Imad Mohsen to succeed Dave Taylor as president and chief executive officer.

Parex Resources Inc., Calgary, has appointed Imad Mohsen to succeed Dave Taylor as president and chief executive officer. Taylor will retire from the company under its normal course retirement policy, coincident with his 65th birthday.

Mohsen will assume duties with Parex in first-quarter 2021 and will work through a transition period with Taylor that will extend to the company’s annual general meeting of shareholders in May 2021.

Taylor joined Petro Andina, the precursor company to Parex in 2007. He was appointed president of Parex in 2015 and promoted to president and chief executive officer in 2017.

Mohsen joined Royal Dutch Shell in 1997 and rose through technical assignments of increasing responsibility. In 2013, he joined Tulip Oil Holding BV. After initially serving as chief operating officer, he was appointed chief executive officer in 2015.
