Milito named NOIA president

Erik Milito has been named president of the National Ocean Industries Association. He will take the helm of the offshore energy association Nov. 1.

Erik Milito has been named president of the National Ocean Industries Association. He will take the helm of the offshore energy association Nov. 1. Former NOIA Pres. Randall Luthi served for nearly a decade prior to his July return to Wyoming to serve as the chief energy advisor to Gov. Mark Gordon (R) (OGJ Online, Aug. 19, 2019).

Milito comes to NOIA from the American Petroleum Institute where he served for the last 17 years, most recently as vice-president, upstream and industry operations, covering regulatory, legislative, and technical matters related to US oil and natural gas exploration and production. He previously served as managing counsel at API. From 2000 to 2002, Milito served as a career attorney in the solicitor’s office of the US Department of the Interior.
