PTTEP lets EPC contracts to SLB OneSubsea for deepwater projects offshore Malaysia

PTT Exploration and Production Public Co. Ltd. (PTTEP) has let two contracts to the SLB OneSubsea joint venture.

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts cover the expansion of two fields offshore Malaysia, the company said in a release Oct. 30.

As part of the EPC contracts, SLB OneSubsea will deliver subsea production systems (SPS) for Alum, Bemban, and Permai deepwater gas fields in Block H and Kikeh field, Malaysia’s first deepwater oil project. The scope includes horizontal subsea trees, umbilicals, control systems, and associated services.

The Block H gas development began producing natural gas from Rotan and Buluh fields in February 2021, while Kikeh oil and gas field has been in production since 2007. The fields have water depths of 1,100-1,300 m.
