MARKET WATCH: Crude oil futures price up to just above $91/bbl

The New York Mercantile Exchange November crude oil contract gained 28¢ on Oct. 2, closing at $91.01/bbl, while the December contract increased 14¢ to $89.88/bbl.

The natural gas contract for November fell 9.1¢ to a rounded $4.93/MMbtu. The cash price at Henry Hub, La., was $3.99, down 15¢.

Heating oil for November delivery dropped 1.76¢ to a rounded $2.64/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for November fell 4.06¢ to a rounded $2.41/gal.

The November ICE contract for Brent crude delivery lost 74¢, closing at $93.42/bbl. The December contract decreased 79¢ to an even $94/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for October plummeted $22.50 to settle at $785.75/tonne.

The OPEC Secretariat office is closed on Oct. 3. The last reported average price for OPEC’s basket of 12 benchmark crudes stood at $92.31/bbl on Oct. 1.
