MARKET WATCH: Crude oil futures end week above $100/bbl mark
The New York Mercantile Exchange May crude oil contract was up 39¢ on Mar. 28, closing at $101.67/bbl. The June contract increased 36¢ to settle at $100.89/bbl.
The May natural gas contract declined 5.3¢ to a rounded $4.49/MMbtu. On the cash gas market, the Henry Hub price for Mar. 28 was unavailable.
Heating oil for April delivery added 1.02¢ to reach a rounded $2.96/gal. Reformulated gasoline stock for oxygenate blending for April delivery edged down half a penny to remain at a rounded $2.94/gal.
In London, the May ICE contract for Brent crude delivery rose 24¢, closing at $108.07/bbl. The June contract also rose 24¢ to $107.96/bbl. The ICE gas oil contract for April gained $3.75 to $902.75/tonne.
The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries reported its basket of 12 benchmark crudes was $104.27/bbl on Mar. 28, rising 48¢.
