MARKET WATCH: NYMEX, Brent crude prices lower

Oil benchmarks on markets in New York and London settled lower Oct. 30. The light, sweet crude contract for December on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 48¢ to $55.06/bbl on Oct. 30. The January contract decreased 58¢ to settle at $55.10/bbl.

Oil benchmarks on markets in New York and London settled lower Oct. 30.

The light, sweet crude contract for December on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 48¢ to $55.06/bbl on Oct. 30. The January contract decreased 58¢ to settle at $55.10/bbl.

The NYMEX natural gas price for December rose 5.2¢ to $2.69/MMbtu. The January contract was up 5.7¢ to a rounded $2.78/MMbtu.

Ultralow-sulfur diesel for November fell 4.3¢ to a rounded $1.91/gal. The NYMEX reformulated gasoline blendstock for November gained just over 2¢ to a rounded $1.66/gal.

Brent crude oil for December fell 98¢ to $60.61/bbl on London’s International Commodity Exchange. The January contract also fell 98¢ to $60.24/bbl. The gas oil contract for November was $582/tonne on Oct. 30, down $9.25.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ basket of crudes for Oct. 30 was $61.24/bbl, down 20¢.
