Sulser named Whiting development, strategy chief

Tim Sulser has been named chief corporate development and strategy officer of Whiting Petroleum Corp., Denver, responsible for corporate planning, business development, acquisitions and divestitures, and exploration.

Sulser previously was chief executive officer of Salt Creek Oil & Gas LLC, Denver, which he cofounded in 2015 after 5 years as an investment banker with Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.

He earlier worked for Netherland, Sewell & Associates in Houston and Marathon Oil Co. in Lafayette, La.
