Evans named president, CEO of MEG Energy

Derek Evans has been named president and chief executive officer of MEG Energy Corp., Calgary.

Evans was president and CEO of Pengrowth Energy Corp. during May 2009-March 2018 and held similar positions at Focus Energy Trust in 2002-08.

He succeeds Harvey Doerr, interim CEO, who will return to his role as an independent director.
