David J. Kornder has joined Petrie Parkman & Co. as CFO. Kornder will report to chairman, president, and CEO Tom Petrie in this newly created position and will be based in the firm’s Denver office. Kornder served as CFO of Patina Oil & Gas Corp. from its formation in 1996 until the sale of Patina last year to Noble Energy. He was previously vice president of finance at Gerrity Oil & Gas Corp. Prior to that, he was an assistant vice president of Gillett Group Management and an accountant with Deloitte & Touche LLP. He holds a BA degree in accounting from Montana State University.

Harald Vabø takes over as CEO of Revus Energy

The board of Revus Energy ASA has appointed Harald Vabø, currently deputy chief executive officer, as CEO. The current CEO, Tim Sullivan, has elected to step down as CEO, to be able to return to his technical and operational roots as exploration advisor and deputy CEO. Sullivan and Vabø were among the original founders of Revus Energy and worked closely together to bring Revus to its current position as a Norwegian independent exploration and production company. Vabø holds a BSc degree in civil engineering from Sunderland Polytechnic (UK) and has worked in the oil industry since 1983.

Baker Hughes adds Jungels to board of directors

Pierre H. Jungels has been appointed a director of Baker Hughes and will serve on the compensation and finance committees. The board now has 12 directors, including 11 independent non-employee directors. Jungels has a PhD from the California Institute of Technology. From 1996 through 2001 he served as a director and CEO of Enterprise Oil, plc. In 1996 he served as the managing director of exploration and production at British Gas plc. From 1975 through 1995 he served in a variety of capacities at Petrofina SA and its predecessors, including serving as a main board director for 7 years, as a director of FINA Inc., as managing director and CEO of FINA, plc (UK) and CEO of FINA Angola.

David R. Looney new executive VP, CFO of Goodrich Petroleum

Goodrich Petroleum Corp. has hired David R. Looney as its executive vice-president and CFO. D. Hughes Watler has resigned as CFO. Looney has 25 years of experience in the energy finance business, most recently as the executive vice-president and CFO of Energy Partners Ltd. and prior to that as the vice-president, finance of EOG Resources.

Getten joins W&T Offshore as general counsel, company re-elects directors and officers

Thomas F. Getten is joining W&T Offshore Inc. as the company’s general counsel. Since February 2001, Getten has been a partner with King, LeBlanc & Bland, PLLC, a New Orleans law firm. From 1996 to December 2000, he served as vice president, secretary, and general counsel of Forcenergy Inc. until its merger into Forest Oil Corp. Prior to joining Forcenergy Getten was a partner with New Orleans law firms Nesser, King & LeBlanc, from 1995 to 1996, and Liskow & Lewis, from 1974 to 1994. He received a BS in petroleum engineering from LSU and a JD from LSU in 1974.

In related news, shareholders elected Tracy W. Krohn, Jerome F. Freel, James L. Luikart, Stuart B. Katz, S. James Nelson, Jr. and Virginia Boulet to serve on the board of directors for one-year terms.

Kerr-McGee stockholders re-elect Earle, Jischke, Richie to board

Stockholders of Kerr-McGee Corp. re-elected Sylvia A. Earle, Martin C. Jischke, and Leroy C. Richie to its board of directors. Stockholders also supported the board’s recommendation in retaining Ernst & Young LLP as the company’s independent auditing firm and rejected the establishment of an office of the board of directors. Earle has served as a member of the company’s board of directors since 1999. Jischke has been a member of the board since 1993, and Richie was elected to the board in 1998.

Total’s head of production to succeed Desmarest as CEO

Paris-based Total’s CEO Thierry Desmarest has named his successor. Current head of production and exploration executive, Christophe de Margerie, will step into the role of CEO when Desmarest steps down in 2007.

Margerie was billed as the top candidate since running the company’s largest division since 1999. Desmarest has headed Total since 1995 and will remain chairman after he leaves his CEO post next year. Margerie joined Total in 1974 after graduating from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris.

Storm Cat adds two new independent directors

Storm Cat Energy Corp. has appointed Jon Whitney and David Wight to its board of directors. Both have long successful careers in the oil and gas industry. These appointments increase the board to seven directors.Whitney will join the audit committee replacing Mike O’Byrne, and Wight will join the compensation committee filling an existing vacancy. Whitney began his employment with Colorado Interstate Gas Co. He eventually moved up to president and CEO of CIG. Whitney has a business degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and, prior to his employment with CIG, was a certified public accountant in private practice.

David Wight is the immediate past president and CEO for Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. and retired January 1, 2006 from BP after 41 years. Prior to joining Alyeska, Wight served as president of BP Amoco Energy Co. of Trinidad and Tobago for eight years. He graduated from Texas Tech University and went to work for Amoco Production Co. He then moved to Egypt as managing director of GUPCO, a joint E&P venture with the Government of Egypt.

Dickey to retire, Busmire to assume CAO role at Anadarko

Diane Dickey, currently vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer, will retire from Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in August. Bruce W. Busmire has been named vice president and chief accounting officer, effective immediately. Busmire has 27 years of experience. His early career was spent at Amoco Corp. From there, Busmire served as controller at Altura Energy and in 2000 assumed the role of vice president - investor relations at Ocean Energy. In 2004, he participated in the start-up of Pickering Energy Partners and in 2005 was named vice president, CFO, treasurer, and controller of Noble Corp. He holds a BBA in accounting from Lamar University and a MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

In addition, Allyn R. Skelton, currently assistant controller, has been promoted to controller and will be reporting to Busmire. Skelton joined Anadarko in 2002 from Howell Corp. which was acquired by Anadarko. He has over 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He originally joined Howell in 1983 and in 1989 was named CFO. Skelton holds a BBA from Baylor University.

Rancher Energy appoints senior executives

Rancher Energy Corp. has tapped John Works as president and chief executive. Works brings over 23 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Before joining Rancher Energy, he was the founder and managing director of Emerging Markets Finance International LLC. In 2005, he served as president & COO of American International Depository & Trust. In 2001, Works served as senior vice president and head of international producer finance at Shell Capital. He was educated at the University of Denver College of Law, the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, the Universite de Paris-IV, and the University of Kansas.

In related news, the company’s former president, Andrei Stytsenko, will remain as both a board member and vice president - production.

Marathon elects Stewart VP accounting and controller

Marathon Oil Corp.’s board of directors has elected Michael K. Stewart to the position of vice president, accounting and controller. Stewart succeeds Albert G. Adkins, Marathon’s current vice president of accounting who has elected to retire after 30 years of service. Since July 2005, Stewart has served as Marathon’s controller, responsible for various accounting functions including those related to international and domestic business units, subsidiaries and joint ventures. He is a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, where he earned a BS degree in accounting, and the University of Houston where he earned a master of business administration degree.

Eden Energy Corp. has named Larry B. Kellison COO. He will be responsible for opening and operating the company’s offices in Denver. Kellison is a geologist with more than 25 years of varied oil and gas experience. Most recently he was vice president and general manager for Black Hills Corp.’s oil and gas subsidiary in Golden, Colo. Prior to Black Hills, he worked for 10 years as a geologist and later the district manager for Montana Power Co. and their oil and gas subsidiary, North American Resources Co. Kellison has a master’s in geology from the University of Nebraska and was a PhD candidate at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo.

Forum Energy plc, the AIM-quoted UK energy group, has appointed Russell Harvey CEO. Harvey has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, and helped build Intrepid Energy, a private start-up company with assets in the UK North Sea. Harvey is a graduate of Imperial College, London, and started his career with Phillips Petroleum. He held executive positions with Kerr McGee, Lasmo North Sea, where he was managing director, and as CEO of Bitech Petroleum. He succeeds former CEO David Robinson who has left pursue business interests in his native Canada. Last month, Forum completed the acquisition of the oil and gas assets of Philippines-based Basic Consolidated Inc.

El Paso Exploration & Production taps Dane E. Whitehead CFO

Dane E. Whitehead joined El Paso Exploration & Production as CFO. He will be responsible for exploration and production’s financial, accounting, IT, and risk functions. Whitehead had more than 13 years of tenure at Burlington Resources Inc., which he joined in 1993 as internal audit manager. Most recently he served as vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer. Prior to Burlington, he was with Coopers & Lybrand.

POSC names Jerry Hubbard executive VP of business development

Houston-based Petrotechnical Open Standards Consortium Inc. (POSC), provider of information and business process standards for the industry, has appointed Jerry Hubbard as its executive vice president of business development. This is a new position for POSC. Hubbard will be responsible for driving industry adoption of the POSC standards portfolio, increasing POSC membership value, and building the global POSC community. He joins POSC with more than 30 of experience. Most recently he was sales and marketing director for sparesFinder Ltd. in London. Hubbard holds BS and MS degrees from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

Andrew Mortimer new exploration manager at WHAM Energy

WHAM Energy plc has appointed Dr. Andrew Mortimer as exploration manager. Mortimer has extensive experience of the oil and gas exploration sector. Prior to joining WHAM he worked for LASMO and Eni.

Industry veteran Vandale joins Patch as director

Patch International Inc. has appointed Michael Vandale as director of Patch Energy Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Patch International Inc. Vandale was the president and director of Arsenal Capital, the predecessor of Arsenal Energy and since Arsenal’s formation, had been the chairman, CEO, and president until April 2006. Patch is a junior oil and gas producer that currently earns oil revenue from a participation interest in 20 oil wells.

Berryman joins Bank of the West to expand oil and gas lending capability

Bank of the West is expanding its Denver-based lending unit. Regional vice president Todd Berryman will expand a team to focus on oil and gas exploration, equipment, and production companies in Colorado, Wyoming, and other western states. Most recently in charge of the energy division of American National Bank, Berryman also specialized in energy credit for Wells Fargo Bank and Norwest Bank from 1995 through 2002. He was previously a petroleum engineer with Marathon Oil, INTERA Petroleum Technologies, and other banks. He holds an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago and a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Utah.

Collins succeeds Huff as CEO, McEvoy promoted to VP at Oceaneering

John R. Huff has given up his title as CEO of Oceaneering International Inc. Jay Collins will step up to take his place. Collins was appointed president of Oceaneering in 1993 after serving as senior vice president and CFO. In 1995 he was named executive vice president of Oilfield Marine Services and was later elected to the board. He started his career at Shell Oil Co. and also worked with Sonat Inc. and Teleco Oilfield Services.

In related news, the company promoted M. Kevin McEvoy to executive vice president. McEvoy is responsible for four business segments - subsea projects, mobile offshore production systems, inspection, and advanced technologies. He has been with Oceaneering for 27 years, serving most recently as senior vice president western region. He started his career in the US Navy.

Martin Fleming joins Noble Royalties as VP

Noble Royalties Inc. has added Martin Fleming, former executive vice president of Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association (TIPRO), as the company’s vice president of governmental and external affairs. Among many initiatives, he will focus on split estate matters around the country and other issues that undermine the value of privately held minerals. Prior to his tenure with TIPRO, Fleming served as the congressional liaison for the Secretary of Energy, Bill Richardson, and was a legislative assistant to United States senator Jeff Bingaman (D-New Mexico).

Ocean Rig taps Steinsland new CFO

Ocean Rig ASA has appointed Jan Rune Steinsland CFO. Steinsland was CFO in Acta Holding ASA, a position he held since 2000.Before that, he held several management positions in Esso Norge/Exxon. Steinsland has a master’s degree from the University of St. Gallen.

Quadrem appoints Surprenant vice president, oil and gas

Robert Surprenant, formerly the oil and gas industry director for SAP North America, will lead Quadrem’s global oil and gas business unit as vice president, oil and gas. He brings almost 25 years of experience in the industry, with a strong focus on technology and systems development, and business process enablement. Prior to joining SAP, Surprenant spent four years at Landmark Graphics, primarily in the consulting management and marketing functions.

Warren accepts position at Wavefront

John Warren has accepted the position of vice president of operations and business development at Wavefront Energy and Environmental Services Inc., a provider and licensor of proprietary DeepWave(SM) technology for oil recovery and groundwater remediation. He comes to Wavefront from his position of product manager, water shut-off at Halliburton.

Merrick Systems promotes Fuge to VP of operations

Merrick Systems, a software company involved in upstream oil and gas production products, has promoted Clara Fuge to vice president of operations. Fuge, who previously served as Merrick’s director of professional services, spent six years with Energy Planning Inc. as an information products manager and consultant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Ford to succeed Brady at Wood Group

Wood Group ESP has named Gary Ford president and COO. He succeeds Joe Brady, who will continue to serve as chairman and CEO of WGESP. Ford served most recently as WGESP’s senior vice president of eastern hemisphere operations.

CapRock names VP of corporate development

CapRock Communications has appointed Britt Carina Horncastle as vice president of corporate development. She joins CapRock with nearly 30 years of experience. Prior to joining CapRock, she served at Telenor Satellite Services. Her positions included CFO of Telenor Satellite Services AS, and most recently, CEO of Telenor Satellite Services US.

Knight Oil Tools names Cole vice president, general counsel

Dean A. Cole has accepted the position of vice president, general counsel at Knight Oil Tools, a privately held rental tool provider to the oil and gas industry. Cole will provide corporate legal counsel to the Knight companies. Prior to his appointment to Knight, he was engaged in general corporate civil litigation as a partner at Laborde & Neuner law firm in Lafayette.

Francois to serve as senior VP, operations at Trico Marine Services

Larry D. Francois is now senior vice president of operations at Trico Marine Services. Prior to joining Trico, Francois served as president of Seabulk. Before that, he served as area manager of domestic offshore marine operations for Tidewater Inc. and prior to that assignment was a division manager for Zapata Gulf Marine Corp.
