Pride International makes management changes
Houston-based Pride International Inc. has made management changes. Imran (Ron) Toufeeq has been promoted from senior vice president, asset management and engineering, to the role of senior vice president, operations, asset management and engineering. Toufeeq joined Pride in 2004 and has over 30 years' experience in the industry. He holds both a master's degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of Houston. W. Gregory Looser was promoted from his role as senior vice president, legal, information strategy and general counsel to the new role of senior vice president and chief administrative officer. Looser joined Pride in 1999. He is a graduate of Baylor University and the Baylor University School of Law. Brady K. Long has been promoted from his role as vice president, deputy general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary to vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary. Long joined Pride in 2005. He graduated from Brigham Young University and the University of Texas School of Law. Rodney W. Eads, who served as executive vice president and COO, is no longer with the company.

Hewitt Pate named VP, general counsel for Chevron
Chevron Corp. has appointed R. Hewitt Pate as vice president and general counsel. Pate will succeed and report to Chevron's current general counsel, Charles A. James, who was named executive vice president earlier this year. Pate will serve on the company's executive committee. Previously, Pate served as a long-time partner at Hunton & Williams in Washington, DC and headed the firm's Global Competition practice. Prior, Pate served as the assistant attorney general for the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina and his law degree from the University of Virginia.
Ellora Energy names three new executives
Ellora Energy has named Steve Enger as president and COO, Lon McCain as CFO and executive vice president, and Jeffery S. Williams as vice president of business development. Valerie Walker has elected to retire as vice president of exploration. Prior to joining Ellora, Enger served as research director with Petrie Parkman & Co. He worked for 16 years at Atlantic Richfield. He holds a bachelor's degree from Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from UCLA. From 2001 to 2004 McCain served as treasurer and CFO of Westport Resources Corp. From 1992 to 2001 McCain was senior vice president and principal at Petrie Parkman & Co. Williams joined Ellora in 2005. Before joining Ellora, Williams worked for 25 years at Pogo Producing Co. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Fulbright expands Dubai practice
Fulbright & Jaworski LLP's global disputes practice is expanding in Dubai with the addition of three lawyers. Philip Punwar joins Fulbright's Dubai office as a partner from Al Tamimi & Co.'s DIFC office. Fulbright London Partner Jonathan Sutcliffe, who has been supporting the firm's Middle East practice for much of the past year, will move full-time to the firm's Dubai office. Associate Shea Haass joins the Dubai team from Fulbright's Dallas office. Haass works as part of Fulbright's international team.
Bristow promotes Brumley to CFO
Bristow Group Inc., a provider of offshore services in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska, and around the world, has promoted Elizabeth D. Brumley CFO. Brumley was appointed acting CFO in April. Brumley joined the company in November 2005 and has over 25 years' experience in finance. Before joining Bristow, she was the vice president and controller of Noble Drilling Services Inc.
Tendeka strengthens team with two appointments
Tendeka has made two senior appointments. Gary Smart has been named COO and Alan Pearson has been named CFO. Smart has nearly 20 years experience in the international oil and gas industry. He comes to Tendeka after spending 11 years with Weatherford International, where he was group vice president of its Well Screen Technologies business. Smart holds an MBA from Henley Management College. Pearson joins Tendeka with more than 15 years experience. Most recently he held the position of finance director for Total Waste Management Ltd. Pearson holds a bachelor's degree from Heriot Watt University. Newly-launched Tendeka aims to provide increased efficiency in well completions and production, through the consolidation of specialist solutions.
Dumas to retire as Flotek CEO
Jerry Dumas, chairman, president, and CEO of Flotek Industries Inc., a global developer and distributor of specialty chemicals and down-hole drilling and production equipment, plans to retire from the company in 2010. John Chisholm, currently a director of Flotek, has been appointed to serve as interim president while the company conducts the search for a new CEO. Under the retirement agreement, Dumas will remain as chairman through Flotek's 2010 annual stockholders meeting, will remain as an employee of Flotek through June 30, 2010, and will remain as CEO until the sooner of January 1, 2010 or until his successor is appointed.
Melton to retire CEO post at Petroflow Energy
Petroflow Energy Ltd.'s founder and CEO, John Melton, will retire from his position as CEO and has also decided to resign as a director. Additionally, Joseph Blandford has resigned from his director position. In April, Sandy Andrew was appointed president of the company. The board has established a committee of the board and management to support the management team on capital market and financial matters.

FMC Technologies Inc. has appointed Jay A. Nutt vice president. He assumed his responsibilities as controller in August 2008. Nutt has been with FMC since 1987. He earned his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and his MBA from Loyola University. FMC Technologies Inc. is a global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry.
Jenkins adds executive VP to role at Murphy Oil
El Dorado, Arkansas-based Murphy Oil Corp. has made management changes. Roger W. Jenkins, currently president of the company's exploration and production subsidiary, has been elected to the additional position of executive vice president. Jenkins joined Murphy in 2001. He holds a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University and a master's degree from Tulane University.
