Shell appoints new director
Shell appointed Charles O. Holliday as a director of the company, effective September 1, 2010. Holliday is currently a director of Bank of America Corp. and Deere & Co. He was CEO and chairman of DuPont up to January 2009 and December 2009, respectively.
Regency Energy Partners makes management changes
Midstream energy partnership Regency Energy Partners LP has promoted Christofer D. Rozzell to executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Regency Energy Partners. L. Patrick Giroir, who previously held this position, resigned to pursue other opportunities. Rozzell has served as senior vice president of corporate development and strategic planning for Regency since November 2008. In addition to assuming the responsibilities of the chief commercial officer for the gathering and processing and transportation segments, Rozzell will continue to lead Regency's corporate development and strategic planning efforts. He joined the company in 2005. The company has also made changes to its Contract Compression Segment. Gary Odem, who has served as vice president and CFO of Regency's Contract Compression Segment since January 2008, has been promoted to chief operating officer of contract compression. He has served with this segment since August 2000. David Marrs, previously president of contract compression, is no longer employed by Regency.
Jeff Fawcett joins Pace Gobal's Energy & Financial Markets team
Jeff Fawcett has joined Pace Global Energy Services LLC as vice president in the Houston office. He has over 25 years of experience in the natural gas and power segments of the energy industry having had previous responsibility for off-take origination, contract negotiations, strategic planning, and regulatory and expert testimony as well as business development in the natural gas and power industries. Prior to joining Pace Global, Fawcett held senior positions with Wood Mackenzie, Energy Solutions International, Sempra Energy, and others. At Pace Global, Fawcett will lead the fuel market advisory product line as well as Pace Global's expert services with a focus on the natural gas value chain.
Stream O&G welcomes James Hodgson as CFO
Stream O&G Ltd. has appointed James Hodgson CFO. Hodgson is based in Calgary and is a director of the company. He has over 30 years of oil and gas experience with expertise in strategy, financial management, petroleum marketing and business planning. Until recently, Hodgson was the CEO of United Oil Projects in Kuwait and has held senior management and executive positions with Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, Qatar Petroleum, PanCanadian Petroleum (Encana) and Esso (Exxon) Canada. He received his MBA from the University of Toronto and has a master's degree from the University of Leicester in England. Hodgson replaces the outgoing CFO, Danny Davis. Effective May 31, 2010, the company's head office moved from Vancouver to Calgary.
Jacob, Day join Operation GulfSCAN team
TTI Exploration, a privately held geosciences technology company based in Houston, has named Dr. John S. Jacob to the Operation GulfSCAN team. He will work with TTI Exploration to document the health of the wetlands and near-shore ecosystems before, during, and after the effects of the oil spill, including the effectiveness of remediation efforts. Jacob is currently the director of the Texas Coastal Watershed Program and a professor and an Extension Specialist with the Texas A&M University System. His role with Operation GulfSCAN will be to provide interpretive insight to the habitat samples collected in conjunction with TTI Exploration's airborne Natural Resource MappingTM (NRM) missions. Dr. John W. Day, Jr. has also joined the team. Day is Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the Department of Oceanography and Coastal Sciences, School of the Coast & Environment at Louisiana State University, where he has taught since 1971. Day's role will be to provide knowledge to the TTI Exploration ground team on the local habitat and guide the sampling efforts in the field.
Global Energy promotes Brigan to VP
Calgary-based Global Energy Services Ltd. has promoted Rex Brigan to vice president, operations. He will be responsible for all operations in both the communications and production services divisions. Communications also includes Global Energy USA, the company's operation based in Houston that covers the Continental USA and the Gulf of Mexico. He has been with Global for over 10 years. During the past six years, Brigan served as the general manager of communications. Global Energy Services provides productions services, communication systems and wireless gas detection to the oil and gas industry.
Trico Marine Services appoints new CEO
Trico Marine Services has appointed Richard A. Bachmann as chairman and interim CEO. Rishi A. Varma has been appointed president in addition to his current role as COO. The respective appointments replace Joseph S. Compofelice as the company's chairman, president and CEO. Bachmann has served as a director since 2005 and, prior to this appointment, served as the lead director and chairman of the board's nominating and governance committee. In February 1998, Bachmann founded Energy Partners and served as its chairman and CEO from February 1998 until March 2009. Varma joined Trico in May 2005 as general counsel, corporate secretary, and director of corporate governance. Varma became a vice president in June 2006 and was appointed chief administrative officer in March 2007. He was appointed to senior vice president and COO in December 2009. From February 2003 until April 2005, he was securities counsel and director of corporate governance with EGL.
EV Energy Partners names Dr. Gajdica senior VP
Dr. Ronald J. Gajdica has joined EV Energy Partners LP as senior vice president of acquisitions. Prior to joining EVEP, Gajdica served as managing director of Scotia Waterous in Houston where he was responsible for the mergers, acquisitions and divestment technical advisory team for the US and Latin America. Prior to joining Scotia Waterous, Gajdica held positions in global planning and evaluation, project development and production and operations at BHP Billiton Petroleum, ARCO and Tenneco Oil Co. He earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Texas A&M University. He holds a PhD from Stanford University. As an inducement to his employment, Gajdica was awarded 30,000 phantom units, 25% of which will vest on each of January 15, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, assuming continued employment and subject to earlier vesting upon certain conditions. EV Energy Partners LP is a Houston-based master limited partnership engaged in acquiring, producing and developing oil and gas properties.
CIT appoints Chai CAO, head of strategy
CIT Group Inc. has named Nelson J. Chai executive vice president, chief administrative officer, and head of strategy. Chai will have responsibility for CIT's global infrastructure and operating architecture including its technology platforms. He will also lead the company's strategic planning, business development and sales activities, as well as the insurance and consumer finance divisions. Prior to CIT, Chai served as executive vice president and CFO of Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he was executive vice president and CFO of NYSE Euronext and its predecessor company NYSE Group Inc., and was CFO of Archipelago Holdings.
Pfeiffer named VP, Global Surface Wellhead at FMC
Energy industry technology solutions provider FMC Technologies Inc. has named Johan F. Pfeiffer vice president, Global Surface Wellhead. Pfeiffer began his career with FMC Technologies in 1993. He became director of customer support for FMC's Subsea Eastern Region operations in 1999, a position he held until 2002, when he was promoted to general manager, Western Region Surface Wellhead. In 2007, he was appointed to his current duties as general manager, Subsea Eastern Region.
Copano Energy names Goodpasture senior VP
Houston-based midstream energy company Copano Energy LLC has named John N. Goodpasture senior vice president, corporate development. he will be responsible for all of Copano's corporate development activities. Goodpasture joins Copano with over 40 years of corporate development, commercial and management experience in the midstream sector. Most recently, he served as vice president, corporate development and midstream commercial for TEPPCO Partners LP. In this role, he was responsible for strategic acquisitions, divestitures and major new business initiatives and additionally provided executive oversight for TEPPCO's midstream segment. Previously, Goodpasture served in various management, commercial, and corporate development positions at Enron Corp., Seagull Energy Corp., and Union Carbine Corp. He received a bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University.
Todd Moser joins RigNet as VP, CAO, controller
Houston-based RigNet Inc., a global provider of managed communications solutions for the oil and gas industry, has named Todd Moser vice president, chief accounting officer, and controller. Moser will be focused on financial reporting, operational and technical aspects of accounting as well as planning and forecasting. Moser most recently served as vice president of finance for Atlantic Holdings II, a private equity backed entity focused on industrial services and construction. Prior to Atlantic Holdings, he served as CFO at Cable Lock and served as director and CFO at LDI Mechanical Inc. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and is a certified public accountant.
