Saudi Aramco awards WesternGeco seismic survey contract

Saudi Aramco has awarded WesternGeco, Houston, a contract to acquire surveys over two unidentified fields in Saudi Arabia.

HOUSTON, June 16 -- Saudi Aramco has awarded WesternGeco, Houston, a contract to acquire surveys over two unidentified fields in Saudi Arabia. WesternGeco, which is managed by Schlumberger Ltd. and owned jointly with Baker Hughes Inc., said it would use its Q-Land seismic acquisition and processing services to accomplish the project.

Seismic activities will begin this month and complete within 6 months, WesternGeco said.
