HOUSTON, Nov. 3
– Poland has awarded a subsidiary of San Leon Energy PLC, Dublin, a 114.6 sq km expansion of the Gdansk W concession to 894.41 sq km in northern Poland’s onshore Baltic basin.

San Leon said the concession, valid for as long as 5 years, is prospective for gas from Paleozoic shales, is on trend with recent drilling by Lane Energy and ConocoPhillips, and expands the total area of San Leon’s farmout with Talisman Energy Inc.

Oculis Energy Sp. z o.o., San Leon’s wholly owned Polish affiliate, holds 100% interest in the concession. The work program includes geological studies, 280 line-km of 2D seismic, and drilling one well. Concession terms include an optional 3D seismic survey and a further two wells.
