LONDON, Aug. 31 -- ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Malaysia Inc. has let a contract to J. Ray McDermott SA unit Barmada McDermott Sdn. Bhd. to replace a 12-in. full well stream pipeline between the Guntong-B and Guntong-A platforms off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

The scope of work also includes transportation and installation of a flare boom to replace an existing flare boom at the Guntong-A platform.

This builds upon a similar assignment awarded last year of another 12-in. full well stream replacement pipeline between Guntong-C and Guntong-A.
