Enterprise Oil plc, London, plans to start oil flow from Camar field off Indonesia in June 1991.

Camar, in the Java Sea 65 miles northeast of Surabaya, East Java, holds reserves of 12 million bbl and is expected to produce about 20,000 b/d.

Production from the unitized field will flow through a satellite wellhead and a process platform to a central production platform through a 6 mile, 6 in. pipeline. From there, crude will move about 1 mile to a floating storage and accommodation tanker with about 800,000 bbl of storage.

Camar is Enterprise's first overseas development. It acquired the right to complete the development project through a takeover of Texas Eastern's oil and gas assets in May 1989.

PTT McDermott Indonesia has a contract to design, supply, and install the two platforms and associated pipelines in 210 ft of water.
