Equinor lets IMR contract to DeepOcean

Equinor has let a subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair contract to DeepOcean for operated assets on the Norwegian continental shelf and in Europe.

Equinor Energy ASA has let a long-term subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) contract to DeepOcean for Equinor-operated assets on the Norwegian continental shelf and in Europe. The 8-year contract covers the period 2027-35.

DeepOcean will charter a vessel, Rem Ocean, from Rem Offshore for the duration of the contract period. The newbuild vessel will have dual-fuel engines capable of running on bio-methanol and biodiesel, along with a battery energy storage system and regenerative energy systems, Equinor said as part of the Nov. 21 press release.
