Shell Canada appoints new CEO

Clive Mather, currently chairman of Shell UK Ltd., will be appointed by Shell Canada Ltd.'s board to succeed Linda Cook as Shell Canada's president and CEO.

HOUSTON, May 25 -- Clive Mather, currently chairman of Shell UK Ltd., will be appointed by Shell Canada Ltd.'s board to succeed Linda Cook as Shell Canada's president and CEO.

Cook will be leaving the company in July. Her departure coincides with a proposal by Royal Dutch Petroleum Co. (RDP) to appoint Cook as managing director of RDP, effective August.
