Wood Group Engineering acquires Deepwater Specialists

Wood Group Engineering and Production Facilities Holdings, a subsidiary of the Houston-based John Wood Group PLC, has acquired Deepwater Specialists Inc.

HOUSTON, Apr. 26 -- Wood Group Engineering and Production Facilities Holdings, a subsidiary of the Houston-based John Wood Group PLC, has acquired Deepwater Specialists Inc.

DSI, New Orleans, provides facilities commissioning services for the deepwater oil and gas industry.

DSI had $4 million in net asset value as of Dec. 31, 2003. The company will continue to be led by Phillip Landry, president, and David Landry, vice-president. DSI will operate within Wood Group's Engineering and Production Facilities division.
