Continental Energy names interim chairman

Continental Energy Corp., British Columbia, announced that its board has elected Richard L. McAdoo, its president and CEO, to serve as its interim chairman until the company's next annual meeting of shareholders.

HOUSTON, July 14 -- Continental Energy Corp., British Columbia, announced that its board has elected Richard L. McAdoo, its president and CEO, to serve as its interim chairman until the company's next annual meeting of shareholders. He succeeds Gary R. Schell, who passed away unexpectedly.

The board also appointed James D. Eger, its vice-president and chief information officer, as secretary, replacing Schell in that capacity.
