Shell appoints production director for the Americas

HOUSTON, Sept. 15 -- Shell Exploration & Production Co. has named Frank Glaviano production director for EP Americas. In this position, Glaviano will lead production activities in the Americas including current areas of activity in the Gulf of Mexico, onshore North America, Brazil, and Venezuela.

Glaviano joined Shell in 1976 as a production engineer working several major assets in the gulf. Glaviano held various engineering and operations managerial positions at Shell, including development engineering manager, offshore ventures manager, and shelf asset manager.

Most recently, Glaviano served as the firm's Gulf of Mexico east asset manager, where he was responsible for the operations of the Mars, Ursa, and Ram-Powell tension leg platforms.
