Sonoran Energy names president, CEO
By OGJ editors
HOUSTON, Mar. 22 -- Sonoran Energy Inc., Los Angles, promoted Peter Ostenfeld-Rosenthal to president and CEO, effective immediately. He had been chief operating office since January.
Previously, Ostenfeld-Rosenthal was general manager of Aberdeen operations for Amerada Hess Corp.
He succeeds Paul Bristol a former consultant who stepped down to focus on oil and gas opportunities in Iraq (OGJ Online, Dec. 19, 2003). A short news release said Bristol would continue working with Sonoran, although no details were provided.
The company's primary objective is to build itself into a major oil and gas corporation concentrating mainly in Iraq but with a background of developing oil properties in the US.
