Society of Exploration Geophysicists names director, geophysics

Peter Pangman has been named to the newly created position of director of geophysics with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Tulsa, Okla.

HOUSTON, Mar. 11 -- Peter Pangman has been named to the newly created position of director of geophysics with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Tulsa, Okla.

Pangman will mainly oversee SEG's Tulsa Geoscience Center and continuing education program. He will also help raise funds for the SEG Foundation. His industry experience was with Amoco Production Co. and Occidental Petroleum Corp.
