Desmarest re-elected Total chairman

Thierry Desmarest was re-elected chairman of Total SA for another 3 years at a May 11 meeting of the company's board members in Paris.

Desmarest stepped down in February from his position as Total's chief executive, relinquishing the post to Christophe de Margerie.
