Wooddy named Medco Energi president

Medco Energi US LLC has appointed L. Dale Wooddy III president.

HOUSTON, Sept. 28 -- Medco Energi US LLC has appointed L. Dale Wooddy III president.

Wooddy has nearly 30 years of oil and gas-related experience. As an entrepreneur, Wooddy founded the petroleum industry's first dedicated web-based oil and gas property brokerage and has served as an officer and principal in a variety of oil field service-related businesses.

Wooddy's past international assignments include general operations manager for ChevronTexaco in Kazakhstan and Papua New Guinea and as senior vice-president of Ocean Energy Inc. and president of Ocean Energy International overseeing operations in West Africa, Egypt, India, the Middle East, Russia, and Indonesia.
