HOUSTON, Aug. 24 -- The board of the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute (CPPI) has appointed Peter Boag to the position of president. Boag succeeds Alain Perez, who has retired after more than 10 years in the role.

In 1992, Boag—a former military pilot and aviation safety executive with the Transportation Safety Board—brought his government experience to the aerospace industry culminating in his 4-year tenure as president of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada.

CPPI is a national association of major Canadian companies involved in the refining, distribution, and marketing of petroleum products for transportation, home energy, and industrial uses.
