Exterra names chief executive officer and president

HOUSTON, Apr. 7 -- Exterra Energy Inc., Amarillo, Tex., has named Todd R. Royal as chief executive officer and president. He succeeds Robert Royal as chief executive officer; Robert Royal will remain chairman.

Todd Royal helped establish Royalco Oil & Gas Corp. in 1995. He served as an officer and director from 1995 until 2009. Royalco, whose stock is 50% owned by Royal, exchanged the majority of its assets to Exterra in March and April 2009 for 90% of Exterra common stock.

Todd Royal also has worked with start-up companies from 1997 until 2007, while carrying out his duties as president of Royalco.
