BP France appoints general director

Remy Delphin has been appointed general manager of BP France effective Jan. 1 and president of BP France effect Mar. 31.

PARIS, Jan. 7 -- Remy Delphin has been appointed general manager of BP France effective Jan. 1 and president of BP France effect Mar. 31.

Delphin succeeds Patrick Haas, head of BP France since 2004, who is leaving after 30 years with the BP group.

Delphin started at Mobil Corp. in 1987 and held different positions at Mobil Oil Francaise headquarters before joining BP in 1997 as marketing manager of the joint BP-Mobil network in France.

After managing the commerce and industry section in 1999, he was put in charge of environment and security at BP Europe for marketing, fuel, and bitumen, and then became head of Styrenics Europe at BP Petrochemicals.

After repositioning the commercial business of BP France in 2006, he was in charge of various strategic projects for BP Europe, becoming in 2008 senior business advisor of the BP group. Since May 2009 he was manager of BP France's oil products which includes supplies, transport, storage, and marketing of motor and heating fuels.
