Harken Energy Corp., Houston, acquired common shares and warrants amounting to about 9% of Spitfire Energy Ltd., a public Calgary independent producer with operations in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

HOUSTON, Dec. 21 -- Harken Energy Corp., Houston, acquired common shares and warrants amounting to about 9% of Spitfire Energy Ltd., a public Calgary independent producer with operations in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The holding will grow to 12.92% with exercise of the warrants.
