Baraka Petroleum picks Cockcroft as chairman

Baraka Petroleum Ltd., Perth, appointed Peter Cockcroft as chairman, succeeding Shane Doherty who steered the company through its formation, capital raising, and ASX listing process.

HOUSTON, Jan. 9 – Baraka Petroleum Ltd., Perth, appointed Peter Cockcroft as chairman, succeeding Shane Doherty who steered the company through its formation, capital raising, and ASX listing process.

Cockcroft has more than 30 years of experience and has held management and senior technical positions with Premier Oil, BHP Petroleum, and Fletcher Challenge. A geologist, he has also worked for the national oil companies of Indonesia and Korea.
