The partnership won a public tender for the project.
The plant will supply electricity to the state electricity and natural gas company.
Also at Tataouine, Eni will complete construction this year of a 5-Mw photovoltaic field to supply off-grid electricity to the Adam oil concession operated by Eni Tunisia BV.
