New Zealand Energy expands management team

New Zealand Energy Corp., Vancouver, BC, has expanded its New Zealand management team to support the company’s exploration, development, and production efforts in the Taranaki and East Coast basins.

New Zealand Energy Corp., Vancouver, BC, has expanded its New Zealand management team to support the company’s exploration, development, and production efforts in the Taranaki and East Coast basins.

NZEC employs 60 people in New Zealand communities, 10 employees and consultants in its Wellington corporate office, and 8 people from local communities to support East Coast exploration.

June Cahill will become manager exploration and manage the Wellington-based team of geologists and geophysicists. She is a geologist with 32 years of experience working in applied earth science and previously was senior geologist with NZEC. She was formerly with the New Zealand Geological Survey and the Ian R. Brown Associates Ltd. consulting firm. She has a BS in geology from Victoria University and a bachelor of applied economics from Massey University.

Tokatumoana (Toka) Walden has joined NZEC as manager land, responsible for the company’s land access activities. Before joining NZEC he was a senior manager with New Zealand’s Department of Conservation.
