Lukoil Overseas names senior vice-president

Houston, Apr. 11 -- Sergey Nikiforov has been appointed senior vice-president, production and development, of Lukoil Overseas.

Nikiforov has held various engineering and technical positions in Uryevneft and Langepasneft in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. He was deputy production manager, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating, in Kazakhstan in 1998; regional director, Lukoil Overseas Egypt in 2002; general director, Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Co. in 2006; and at the same time served as head of Lukoil Overseas' Tashkent office since 2007.

Nikiforov succeeds Azat Shamsuarov, who was appointed vice-president, Lukoil, and general director of Lukoil-Western Siberia.
